It was a very busy day at the White House today. Of course, president-elect Donald Trump made his way to D.C. on the invite of President Obama for a meet and greet. The Cleveland Cavaliers were also there to intimidate Trump celebrate their 2015 NBA Championship victory. As we know, Iman Shumpert is a member of the winning team and since he and wifey Teyana Taylor never travel apart, she also was in tow. Her outfit in particular made an incredible statement. That statement being: never forget that Miss Teyana Taylor is woke AF.

Teyana's look, complete wth an Afro wig, is a nod to the notorious bad ass Black Panther activist Angela Davis. 

Considering the outcome of Tuesday's election and the current political climate in our country, it is refreshing to know that someone like Teyana Taylor is using her voice and platform for good. We should all learn from her example and as she emphasizes with her look today that no protest is too small. I'm grateful to Teyana for reminding me that fashion means something. Power to the people.
