Serena Williams Can Now Wear Bodysuits On The Court – Here's Why
You may remember early this year French Open officials decided to ban catsuits after Serena Williams sprinkled her melanin magic on the courts and flaunted her pregnancy body in this now iconic Nike design compression suit, which she said made her feel like, "a superhero."
ICYMI: Serena wore this black catsuit as a way to prevent post-pregnancy blood clots.
Well, it looks like after huge social media backlash on Twitter we may be looking at a small win!
According to Yahoo! Sports, the Women’s Tennis Association has changed the game when it comes to on-court attire in their recently released player-related rule changes for 2019.
“Leggings and mid-thigh compression shorts may now be worn with or without a skirt, shorts or dress,” the rule states.
How dope! Leave it to Serena to break barriers!
