Brandon Marshall Says Giants Player Crossed Line Talking About His Wife

When trash talk goes too far.

Some trash talk is even out of bounds and off limits for the NFL.

That's the message New York Jets star Brandon Marshall wanted to send New York Giants' Cullen Jenkins after he felt the defensive end crossed the line and spoke about his wife during Sunday's game between the teams.

"I think there are some things that are off limits," the wide receiver told ESPN after the Jets scored a 23-20 win over the Giants. "I believe in trash talk. Some guys get up for that. But some things are off limits. He made a comment about...he said, 'My girl.' He didn't know I was married.

"There is not enough money on this earth for somebody to disrespect my wife," Marshall continued. "I just try to take it out in between the lines. I don't care about anything at that point."

Marshall more than made the Giants pay on the field, hauling in 12 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Marshall did give Jenkins the benefit of the doubt in perhaps not knowing he was married, though.
"The cool thing is, he didn't know I was married, and we talked it through, and he said he didn't mean to do it," Marshall added. "He thought maybe I had four or five girls or something. [I'm] happily married, to one woman, my wife Michi Marshall. And I will fight to the end for her."

Other defensive players better be on notice when facing Marshall from here on out.
