J. Cole's 'KOD' Album Just Set A Very Impressive Record

Congrats are in order for the North Carolina emcee.

J. Cole’s new album is receiving generally positive reviews, but one thing’s for certain – everyone is giving it a listen.

  • According to Chart Data, the North Carolina emcee’s title track from the project has surpassed record holder Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” for most opening day Spotify streams for a song.

    “KOD” racked up 4.2 million streams in its first day. Swift’s previous winner totaled 3.8 million. “Photograph” from Cole’s latest effort also cracked the Top 5, hitting 3.5 million streams.

  • J. Cole’s KOD was released on Friday (April 20) and is on track to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200.
