Will Smith And Michael B. Jordan Working On ‘I Am Legend’ Sequel
The 2007 film I Am Legend is getting a sequel, with Will Smith returning and additionally, Michael B. Jordan.
According to Deadline, Smith, 53, and Jordan, 35, will star in the Warner Bros film and co-produce. Jordan will produce under Outlier Society, with Smith producing under Westbrook Studios.
Smith confirmed the sequel news via Instagram, with an empty street that taps the nostalgia of the 2007 original film.
Lori Harvey, Jordan’s girlfriend said, “And I oooooppp” in the comments of Smith’s IG post.
Co-writer of the original movie script, Akiva Goldsman, is returning to write for the sequel. Deadline says there hasn’t been a director named as of yet.
Smith and Jordan have grossed over $12.3 billion worldwide combined for their movies.
According to People, the first I Am Legend movie has garnered over $585 million worldwide.
