R&B icon Usher was honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from industry legends Baby Face, L.A. Reid, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The moment was celebrated through a star-studded musical tribute, including a medley of his hits performed by artists like Chlöe Bailey, Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Tinashe, Latto, and more. The industry icon also took home the trophy for “Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.”
Will Smith made a powerful return to music with his new single, "You Can Make It," which featured a guest appearance by Gospel icon Kirk Franklin and the uplifting voices of the Sunday Service Choir.
Over a dozen awards were given to some of the biggest names in the industry. Victoria Monet, in particular, shone brightly, earning her first-ever BET Award and wowing the audience with her electrifying performances.
