Ne-Yo Finally Has A Response To Those Gay Rumors...
In a new episode of Madame Noire’s Spin And Spill The Tea series, singer-songwriter Ne-Yo dropped in to take his turn on some randomized topics about his love life, “Good Man Season” controversy and—surprise, surprise—his sexuality.
When Ne-Yo landed on the question asking, “What’s what [sic] rumor that exists about you that you wish would die?” he mentioned the buzz that he’s a gay man. He began by asserting that he has no ill feelings or shade aimed at the LGBT community, however, as a married man and father of four, he’s never been gay.
“Taking nothing from homosexuality, love wins, love who you love—I’m just not gay,” he said. “I ain’t never been gay, and when the whole gay rumor thing happened, that was one of the ones that kind of threw me a little bit. Anybody that knows me knows that nothing could be farther from the truth.”
Elsewhere in the segment, he also addressed his wife Crystal Smith’s backlash after posting a photo of their son’s hair with the comment that he wasn’t “blessed with mommy’s ‘Hawaiian silky,’” stating that the incident was also a misunderstanding. The response he received from his “Good Man Season” movement came as no surprise to him though, he revealed, since he believes men have a tendency to protect their foul actions with a tacit guy code.
