Zendaya is gearing up for her long-awaited return to the biggest bash of the first Monday in May.

It's been half a decade since the "Challengers" star, 27, rocked the iconic steps of the Met Gala. Now, as she prepares to return, she reflects on her first time attending it. On Tuesday (April 23), the walking muse appeared on "Live with Kelly and Mark" and confessed that as a newbie to the event it was "exciting, but still terrifying" as reported by PEOPLE.

"Going up the steps is very daunting, and I haven't been back for maybe four or five years," she said. "So this is, like, my first time back at the Met in quite a while."

Although it's been a while since she's been to the Met Gala, she hasn't stopped rocking red carpets elsewhere. And when she does, it's always a moment to remember. When co-host Kelly Ripa suggested that designers "fight to the death" to dress her, Z said only her longtime stylist, Law Roach, could answer that.

Zendaya and Law Roach are two of Hollywood's most intriguing celebrity-stylist duos, going back to when the actor was only 14.

When she attended the Met Gala the last time in 2019 for the event's Camp: Notes on Fashion theme, Law Roach was by her side as Zendaya's Fairy godmother. He styled her in a pale blue Tommy Hilfiger custom Cinderella-inspired gown that lit up with lights.

The theme for this year is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

We can only imagine the ensemble our queen will wear, but we can bet money it will certainly be a showstopper.
