A Fashion Ace: Zendaya Channels Tennis Royalty in Stunning Tribute
Stylist Law Roach has been working overtime with his lifesize doll, the talented actress Zendaya, for her latest film, “Challengers,” in which she plays a tennis player turned coach. The style duo has been serving up on-the-nose girlie pop but making it fashion with all these looks. But it’s the most recent that stuns and warms hearts the most.
Swathed in a black and white striped, voluminous Carolina Herrera gown and her hair beaded to the brim in iconic white beads, an ode to the most prolific sister duo in tennis, Venus and Serena Williams. This recreation of the Williams sisters’ Vogue shoot from 1998, shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz is the kind of heart-warming tribute that soothes the soul.
“An ode to the GREATS @venuswilliams @serenawilliams. We thank you for all you have done!” Roach wrote in the caption of the carousel, which showcased Zendaya and the original 1998 photo. With love, Z and Law.”
Law thanked Wes Gordon, the creative director of Carolina Herrera, for his help in executing such a flawless fashion tribute.
One thing about Miss Zendaya: she’s gonna serve.
