Usher Brings Paris Residency to Theaters with New Concert Film

The R&B legend’s ‘Usher: Rendezvous in Paris’ will premiere globally in theaters this September.

Between headlining the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show and recently accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards 2024, it’s already been a great year for Usher.

Today (July 30), the eight-time Grammy Award winner announced that he is bringing his concert experience to fans around the world with Usher: Rendezvous in Paris. The concert film will document his 2023 eight-concert experience in Paris, France. It is set to show in about 2,000 theaters across the globe for a limited run from Sept. 12 to Sept. 15.

“Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” Usher said in a press statement. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. As for those of you who were, I hope you experience the show and see what it takes to get there through a different lens.”

“For 30 years Usher has captivated and entertained audiences through his music and concerts. Just a few months ago, he drew rave reviews for his stunning performance in front of 129 million people during the Super Bowl Half-Time Show. Bringing his unparalleled concert experience to movie theatres for his fans around the world is a perfect fit for AMC Theatres Distribution,” AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron added.

Tickets for the film go on sale starting next Tuesday, Aug. 6 on Usher’s website.

The “Bad Girl” hitmaker will also hit the road for the “Usher: Past Present Future” tour starting Aug. 20. He released his ninth studio album, Coming Home in February and it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
