Kim Kardashian Is Speaking At Variety And Rolling Stone's Criminal Justice Reform Summit And Twitter Is Disgusted
Kim Kardashian's most recent efforts in using her celebrity platform to advocate for prison reform has garnered the attention of Variety and Rolling Stone, as they have recruited her to speak alongside Van Jones in their upcoming Criminal Justice Reform Summit.
Variety recently shared the news with their Twitter followers, further announcing that Meek Mill was added to the bill of speakers.
The site noted that the November 14 event, which is set to take place in Los Angeles, "will bring together the entertainment, philanthropic, advocacy and policymaking communities to drive criminal justice reform."
Jones is set to serve as the event's keynote speaker and will specifically touch on the "failings of the American criminal justice system" with the reality starlet.
The socialite-turned-beauty mogul most notably helped facilitate the early release of Alice Marie Johnson, a first-time nonviolent drug offender who spent 21 years behind bars, after meeting with president Donald Trump at the White House.
Despite her efforts, Twitter does not seem to be thrilled after learning of Kim's involvement in the conference. See how they reacted to the news, below:
