Black Eyed Peas Reschedule New York Performance
This past June, the Black Eyed Peas were set to perform at New York’s SummerStage in Central Park, but didn’t. The show was canceled due to poor weather conditions, even though thousands of fans waited in the rain to get their chanting on.
Yesterday, a smiling Will.i.am, 36, stood next to mayor Michael Bloomberg and announced that the show is back on for September 30, The New York Times reports.
Fans who had tickets for the original show get first dibs this go 'round. While LL Cool J, among others, were also on the bill for the previous performance, BEP is the only act scheduled right now.
The rap group’s leader said, “I don’t know how to, where to, begin to tell you how proud I am to be performing here in Central Park for a rescheduled day.” For their sake, it will, hopefully, be a good night.
