Queen Latifah’s clothing line debuts this Saturday (August 27) on HSN and the actress has revealed which fashion icons have influenced her over the years. “Number one my mom — she’s super stylish, always has been,” Queen tells PEOPLE. “And then I would say Iman … I just think she’s beautiful, she’s poised, she’s gorgeous. She’s also a great entrepreneur and she has a great sense of style, and she has longevity, and you know that’s what I would like to have for sure.”
The Queen collection offers tops, jackets, jeans and handbags for women sizes 2 to 24, and the starlet designed the clothes with both beauty and budget in mind. Her ultimate goal is to give women the opportunity to wear similar, luxurious pieces that we may find in the star’s closet. “I mean these are things that are really beautiful, but they’re very wearable. We’re really trying to make sure that they have the best fabrics possible, that it feels good on the body.”
Even with an entire line of stylish duds, Queen still opts for her favorite attire: nothing. “My friends call me ‘naked girl,’” she jokes, “because I’m most comfortable not wearing anything.”
