T.I. Has An Interesting Take On Gun Laws After The Las Vegas Massacre
T.I. may not be allowed to own a gun because of his criminal history, but he still has some interesting opinions on gun laws. In the wake of the devastating Las Vegas massacre earlier this week, the ATL rapper offered his take on the Second Amendment.
TMZ caught up with T.I. outside of popular restaurant Catch LA, where he got candid about gun legislation. Although the rapper insisted the Las Vegas shooting would not affect his own security detail during concerts, he suggested that there should be more of a balance on who can own a weapon.
“To me, as long as the criminals have them, the citizens should be able to have them,” he stated. Even so, he said that there should be certain precautions put in place before issuing everyone a handgun. “I think there should be mental evaluations and the same for people running for president, by the way,” he added, taking a shot at Donald Trump.
T.I. isn’t the only celebrity who has spoken out about gun laws. John Legend, Tinashe and Zendaya have recently called for stricter gun policies so that an attack like the one in Las Vegas will not happen again.
