Most people would be thrilled if they just got their order correct at a drive-thru, but last Saturday, a recent widow got a whole lot more. 

Washington native Barbara Danner captured a touching moment of genuine human kindness that has been shared over 125,000 times on Facebook, and it's no surprise why.
Danner was on the drive-thru line at a Dutch Bros. coffee shop when she noticed employees offering empathy to the patron in the car just ahead of hers. The woman in the car is now identified as a recent widow who was crying while she waiting for her coffee. When the drive-thru workers saw this, they all reached out and offered her a comforting hand and a prayer.

Danner later learned that the woman’s husband had passed away just the day before. Take a look at the post Danner left on Facebook remembering the experience:

The Oregonian later interviewed the kind employees and 19-year-old Peirce Dunn said that he just wanted to support the widowed woman in her time of need. “She was crying,” he remembered. “I shed a few tears. We’ve cried since as well. When something that real happens, it hits close to home.”

Another employee, Evan Freeman, explained that he prayed with the woman despite not being religious himself: “She could have said she wanted an apple, and I would have gone and planted a tree and grown her an apple. It just happened to be religion that she wanted.”
