Before fans know it, the BET Awards 2022 will be here, and it’s a celebration you won’t want to miss. In the past, we’ve had hilarious energy-packed performances, dozen of surprise appearances from some of the hottest and biggest entertainers in Hollywood, but most importantly, some of the biggest award moments in history. Usher
Industry veteran Usher Raymond earned the title of Best Male R&B Artist once at the 2002 ceremony and later in 2005, beating the likes of Anthony Hamilton, R. Kelly, Ruben Studdard, and the late Luther Vandross.
Miguel
In 2013, “Sky Walker” singer Miguel beat out R&B heavy-hitters Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, and Usher.
Bruno Mars
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and musician Bruno Mars dominated the Best Male R&B Artist category for three years straight, taking home the award in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He ties in with R&B crooner and actor Usher.

Chris Brown
Multitalented superstar Chris Brown holds the record for the most nominations and awards in the Best Male R & R&B category with 14 total recognitions and six wins. The Grammy Award-winner took home bragging rights since his first award in 2008 and 2020, and 2021.
Ne-Yo
Singer, songwriter, and producer Ne-Yo is a two Best Male R&B Artist award recipient. The “So Sick” crooner earned the title once in 2007 and 2009, taking the lead ahead of singers Jamie Foxx, Ryan Leslie, T-Pain, and The-Dream.
