KKK Unsuccessful Rally to Protest Sentencing of White Couple Who Terrorized a Black Child's Birthday Party

Here's what the imperial wizard said of their conviction.

Following the sentencing of a Georgia couple who used Confederate flags and racial slurs to terrorize a Black child’s birthday party, the Ku Klux Klan planned a protest rally to be held outside the Douglas County Courthouse. However, the rally, which was planned for Sunday afternoon, resulted in a no-show from active members of the KKK.

According to Fox 5, the only action to take place outside of the courthouse was a brief tense meeting between Confederate flag supporters and community members. However, after 30 minutes of contention, the two groups dispersed.

The original plan, as described by Stephen Howard, the “imperial wizard,” was for about 200 members of the KKK to protest the sentencing of Kayla Norton, 25, and Jose Torres, 26. Norton and Torres were affiliated with white supremacist group "Respect the Flag."

The couple was sentenced to a combined 35 years in prison for using racially insensitive language and guns to terrorize the party of an 8-year-old. After their hearing, Howard called the couple’s sentencing “shameful” and “not right.”
