Chief Keef Arrested After Leaving Court on Separate Charge

Rapper taken into custody for trespassing.

Chief Keef was back in custody Monday (June 17). In what has become familiar ground, Keef was arrested in Chicago after pleading guilty to separate speeding charges.
In what turned out to be an unfortunate day for him, the teen was hit with yet another paternity test, and was busted on an old trespassing charge. He was in a Cook County courtroom stemming from a 110 mph speeding incident last month.
Keef, who has a learner's permit and not a license, got a scolding from the judge. "I think you think you're invincible, and you're certainly not," Cook County Circuit Court Judge Earl Hoffenberg said. "Violate [conditions of the plead agreement] and you'll find out you're not…I sure hope I don't see you again, because if I do you better be ready to go to jail."
Little did he know, the judge's words were about to be set into motion sooner than expected.
Hoffenberg could've sentenced Keef to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine, but showed leniency. The "Love Sosa" rap star was given 18 months of probation, ordered to stop driving, pay a $351 fine and complete 60 hours of community service.

Once outside, police who traveled over 20 miles from the city's South Side area to the courtroom arrested the 17 year old. He was released on bail by the evening.
Rather than taking blame for his actions, Keef's people believe he's being intentionally targeted. "His management believes he's being harassed by the police," his attorney, Leah Starkman said. "I know that he's on the police radar, but I don't know if it's harassment."
Keef was released after completing a 60-day jail sentence in March and hasn't been able to avoid legal trouble since.
