Snoop Lion Urges Congress to Move on Gun Control
Snoop Lion is among the many Americans who want Congress to make a move on a new gun control policy. Visiting HuffPo Live, Snoop weighed in on the issue, urging politicians to open their eyes.
"Politicians, you all got to pay attention, man," he said. "This world that we live in, it's so easy to get your hands on a gun. You've got to put some restrictions or ramifications on it. I can go outside right now and buy a gun. Easy. Just like that. You all should really think about it before it hits home, before it hits one of your family members or it hits you or affects someone personally that you know."
Mentioning the December shooting massacre at Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary, the father of three was outraged at the thought of more bloodshed.
"It shouldn't take that. Those kids that lost their lives in Connecticut, those kids that keep losing their lives, innocent people who keep losing their lives; we have to speak up for them. We have to do something. We have to make a change. If we don't do nothing, it's going to hit us. If I can say it and I can mean it — Godd---it, get off your a-- and make it happen."
Snoop's public address echoes his recent "No Guns Allowed" off his Reincarnated release. The official video features President Obama, who recently scolded the U.S. Senate for voting against a bill promoting gun-buyer background checks, and footage from events following recent national tragedies like the Sandy Hook, Trayvon Martin and Columbine shootings.
