It's the end of an era and a new beginning for Beyoncé, who has lopped off her signature long locks in favor of a spunky pixie cut.
The singer unveiled her new 'do on Instagram Wednesday night. In a series of three photos, she models the bold look in what appears to be her dressing room. From a close-up we can see that the shape remains feminine, with a slightly longer crown just perfect for adding volume.

Reaction from her followers ranged from cheers to dismay, but most appeared to back Bey's new look.

While Beyoncé hasn't rocked a look like this before, we know Mrs. Carter will have no problem making it her own.
