Legendary hip-hop hype-man and radio personality Fatman Scoop has tragically passed away at the age of 53. The charismatic rapper, known for his booming voice and energetic stage presence, collapsed suddenly on stage during a concert in Hamden, Connecticut, on Friday night.

Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, was best known for his 1999 hit "Be Faithful," where he hyped up the crowd over a sample of Faith Evans’ 1998 hit “Love Like This.” The track became a global anthem, dominating club scenes and dance floors worldwide, and even topping the UK Singles Chart. His infectious energy and signature call-and-response style made him a beloved music industry figure known for bringing unparalleled excitement to any event.

Beyond "Be Faithful," Fatman Scoop built a prolific career as a hype-man and a dynamic voice on the radio. He worked with some of the biggest names in music, lending his vocal talents to tracks by Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Busta Rhymes. His collaborations with Carey, particularly on the remix of her hit "It's Like That," showcased his ability to elevate a song's energy, making him a go-to artist for creating memorable party anthems.
