Sherri Shepherd Returns to The Gym Following Breast Reduction
After healing from getting her breasts reduced, Sherri Shepherd is making her grand return to the gym.
Earlier this week, the talk show host shared the exciting news to her followers on social media, as reported by PEOPLE. In her post on Instagram, Shepherd is seen weight lighting, and other routines that target the entire body.
“Because I was healing from my breast reduction surgery, plus torn muscles in my rotator cuff, I was unable to workout for 13 weeks,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
She continued, “The hardest thing has been getting back into the 5am workout groove, but I am determined to be intentional about seeking good health! I can’t afford not to.” She also gave a shoutout to her team for helping her along her fitness journey.
“Thank you @bodysculpt for holding me accountable❤️.”
Last month, during the season two premiere of her namesake talk show, she revealed she underwent breast reduction surgery.
As she reflected on her career, she added, “I get so many comments about my body, and a lot of you kept saying, ‘Sherri, you’re too top-heavy. And I would get comments like, ‘If you just got a boob job, everything would be balanced.”’
“So guess what? I got my boobs done!” she exclaimed as she got out of her chair to show off her new assets while wearing an ankle-length bright pink dress.
“Season two is going to be bigger, except these boobs,” she quipped.
Then, she clarified her decision to undergo breast reduction surgery. “To be clear, I did not get this boob job because of all of the comments I got. I got the boob job to see what it would feel like to sleep on my stomach.”
Now, Shepherd –who was a 42DD– says she “feels lighter and it’s easier to shop.”
“I love my old girls, my best friends, I call them. They grew up with me. They have been with me through thick and thin. This was a relationship. I loved them. They’ve been my best friends for so long.”
