TDE's Studio Rules Have Surfaced on the Internet and They're Hilarious
The studio of Top Dawg Entertainment is about as exclusive as you may expect, with talents like Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q, to name a few.
But in case any outsiders are granted the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the crew on one of their studio sessions, there are some strictly hilarious guidelines to abide by first.
Apparently captured from Q’s Snapchat, the list of rules are posted on the door of the studio for all “non-homies” to heed.
“If you not the homie, don’t come in here,” the all-caps rules state. “If you are the homie, but you with somebody that’s not the homie, don’t come in here.”
But don’t forget the red print, which revokes these stringent stipulations after all. What you will need to pay close attention to, however, are the listed guidelines on the second page, especially regarding social media usage.
“If you ain’t one of the homies, don’t be Instagramming you creepy muthaf**ka,” No. 1 reads. “I don't wanna look on yo Twitter and find a creepy a** pic of me or one of the homies. Matter of fact, no Twitter or Instagram in the studio! Act like you been around a bunch of rich n****z from the bottom before!”
Don’t just sit around not making yourself useful either, as referred to in rule No. 2: “If the homies just met you and decide to clown yo b***h a**, sit there and deal with it. It’s part of the creative juices.”
While the author of the studio rulebook isn’t named, No. 3 gives us a good idea that Q is behind the hilarity.
“Don’t touch, ask, or reach for Q’s weed, unless he thinks you cool [enough] to pass it to you,” the third mandate reads. “We only smoke stersonals around here, boy.”
And don’t even think about getting fresh before rolling up on the TDE studio grounds, according to No. 4. Not to worry, though. Because rule No. 5 cuts you a break and a meal if you can stay sharp on the other four.
See whether you’re in compliance with the rules in the post below.
