Diddy Dodges Felony Charge
So, Diddy's new jam "Finna Get Loose" is right on time.
The music mogul officially shook felony charges stacked against him for allegedly weilding a kettlebell in a fight with his son's football coach.
"We are thankful that the district attorney rejected felony charges in this matter," his attorney, Mark Geragos told CNN. "This case never should have been part of the criminal justice system to begin with."
Diddy was arrested last month after he confronted Sal Alosi, his son Justin Combs' strength and conditioning coach at UCLA. Reportedly, Alosi repeatedly bullied the 21-year-old defensive back (even after the cops were called in) with locker room taunts claiming that young Combs wasn't recruited based on skill, but because of who is father is. The argument apparently turned into a scfuffle and Diddy was taken into custody to face three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terroristic threats, and one count of battery.
Diddy faced up to three years in jail.
Luckily, prosecutors with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office have declined to charge him and have forwarded the case to the city's attorney to consider misdemeanor charges.
Diddy's attorney, Geragos remains confident that the case will be dismissed entirely. "Any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son," stated a rep for the mogul via a statement on his website.
