Roc Nation Denies Jay-Z Is 'Disappointed’ In Colin Kaepernick
On Saturday (November 16), Colin Kaepernick finally held his workout for NFL teams. However, what happened off the field during the event has been the focus of the discussion afterward.
In the final moments before the workout, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback changed the location of the workout from the Atlanta Falcons facility to a high school field and also wore a Kunta Kinte shirt that led to many saying Kaep was more focused on publicity than potentially landing on an NFL roster.
Jay-Z was reportedly one of those disappointed in Kaepernick, however, the record label he owns is disputing those reports.
Via their Twitter account, Roc Nation refutes that Hov has spoken to anyone about Kaepernick or his performance at the workout. “A source at Roc Nation tells us JAY-Z (@S_C_) hasn’t spoken to any sources,” the Roc Nation Twitter account tweeted.
Jay-Z is reportedly one of the influences that led Colin Kaepernick to be given the opportunity to work out for NFL teams. It isn’t clear whether Kaep increased or decreased his appeal to teams on Saturday and currently remains unsigned.
