Wait, Was Young Dolph And Yo Gotti's Beef Over A Girl This Entire Time?

Dolph's latest statement seems to suggest so.

The beef between Memphis emcees Yo Gotti and Young Dolph has grown thicker and thicker in recent years, with Dolph’s February shooting being tied to the I Still Am rapper’s CMG clique.

Both maintained their respective silence on the issue up until Gotti stopped by The Breakfast Club to claim that no such beef exists. But, according to Dolph it does, it’s lame and it might have to do with a girl.

Around the 23:07 mark, Dolph arrives at the topic when Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God mention Gotti’s comments about the beef’s nonexistence.

In fact, they said, he even showed a text message from Dolph where he claims things were all kosher between them. The only problem is that the text message was from 2012, the Bulletproof artist said, and also happens to be the same year Dolph said Gotti tried to sign him. Dolph declined the deal, though. But before the tension, he suggests that he and the 36-year-old were practically brothers.

“I done took care of people in [Gotti’s] family,” he claimed. “Put money in their pocket.”

Unfortunately, Dolph still shows no interest in reconciling with him even after Charlamagne insisted that Gotti rejected any idea of a “beef.” Especially, he suggested, if it has something to do with a girl.

“I don’t know,” he responded to the possibility of a truce. “I ain’t finna be beefing back and forth about no girl, bro. I’m not doing that. No.”

To be clear that this unnamed girl was the breach in their relationship, Charlamagne asks his confirmation on the statement. Dolph gives a vague response, but enough of one to communicate that him and Gotti clearly aren’t on the same page.

Hopefully 2018 changes that for the better. See all that he had to say about his severed relationship with Gotti below.
