Is a Destiny's Child 10-Year Reunion Tour Really Going to Happen?

The trio is reportedly set to ditch their group name.

The ladies of Destiny's Child came together this last weekend for a performance at the Stellar Gospel Awards and the rumor mill regarding yet another reunion started to spin. This time, there may be truth to the gossip as the ladies are said to be planning one last hurrah, but not under their famous moniker.

Daily Mail reports that the platinum selling girl group wants nothing to do with their former manager Mathew Knowles, whom they all ditched individually throughout the course of their respective solo careers. According to reports, Knowles owns a quarter of the Destiny's Child name, and due to this, if they tour as "Destiny's Child," he will gain a hefty portion of their profits.

To prevent this from happening, the ladies are said to now go simply by their individual names, as they were introduced at the Stellar Gospel Awards where they performed "Alpha & Omega" and "Say Yes" lifted from Michelle Williams's Journey to Freedom LP.

In addition to the rumored tour, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Williams are said to be moving closer to  recording a reunion album in support of the live venture. Their final tour in 2005, dubbed the Destiny Fulfilled tour, grossed approximately $70.8 million in the U.S. alone. Billboard reports that it was the highest-grossing tour for either a pop or R&B act since TLC's FanMail Tour.

As of now, further details on the possible 10-year reunion tour are scarce, but their loyal fans are anxiously awaiting whatever is next for the ladies.
