Kelly Rowland's Boat Rescued By U.S. Coast Guard
Kelly Rowland's boat was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard and diverted back towards Cape Cod after veering off course Friday (July 19), reports E! News.
The Destiny's Child songstress chartered the watercraft with friends off the coast of Provincetown, Mass., and was whale watching with her shipmates when the boat became "disoriented" amid the "five-to-six-foot waves and fog that rolled in."
The Coast Guard was able to "triangulate their position" and veer the vessel back on track, but it then broke down just four miles from their destination. A commercial towboat was called in to get the boat back to shore.
Everyone was said to be "just a little shook up," "tired and thankful" after the 12-hour ordeal was over and the newly appointed X Factor judge seemed to maintain that gratitude, tweeting Sunday night (July 21), "Hope you guys had a lovely weekend."
