WATCH! Beyoncé’s Hairstylist Neal Farinah Gets Into It With A Brooklyn Beauty Supply Owner Over Discrimination Dispute

The Trinidadian-born stylist has owned a salon in Brooklyn for years.

There’s certain people you definitely don’t want to burn bridges with when you are in any industry. In the beauty industry, Beyoncé’s hairstylist of 13 years is probably one of those people if you own a beauty supply store.

Neal Farinah is the mastermind beyond some of Queen Bey’s most iconic looks, from her ensuring that her inches are pin-straight to accentuating her naturally curly locs. Working out of a shop in Brooklyn and styling various celebrity clientele, Neal was introduced to Bey in 2005 and has been styling her for red carpets and tours ever since.

Though Neal has happily stayed under the radar for most of his career by letting his work do the talking, he’s now making waves by calling out an industry that continues to make money off the Black dollar while the owners of these establishments get away with treating Black clientele like trash!

In a video posted on the stylist’s Instagram, Neal shows an Asian beauty supply store employee of a shop in Flatbush, Brooklyn, covering his face while being recorded. Neal claims that the employee told him he could not shop in the establishment and he was also confused why one foreigner was discriminating against another. This is one stylist that they definitely should not have messed with!

It’s no secret that the Black beauty industry is dominated by Asian vendors and beauty supply owners. While we continue to patronize these businesses, there are recurring instances in which Black and brown people are degraded and diminished by those who are supposed to be servicing them.
