Erykah Badu and John Boyega Unite After Singer Reveals Crush
What Erykah Badu wants, she gets.
In July, the “On & On” singer stopped her concert at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta mid-performance of the smash 2015 single to tell the crowd that she had a crush on actor John Boyega.
“It’s a lot of people in the audience — that’s why I wanted to say that,” she said in video footage shared by Netflix. “There’s enough of y’all for one of y’all to get the message to the man, right?”
Badu gushed over the British star, describing him as “fine” before asking audience members details like : "How old is he? He under 30?”
”Hell yeah!" she continued. "That's what I'm talking about. Nuts still tough. You know what I'm sayin'? That's what I be looking for."
The songstress went on to perform another classic record, “Tyrone,” a track freshly re-recorded for Boyega's highly anticipated film, "They Cloned Tyrone,” before the actor himself emerged, leaving Badu speechless and covering her face.
The singer shouted “It’s John Boyega,” before the two hugged. The pair stood side by side as Badu finished the song before inviting the “Breaking” star back to her tour bus.
“I’ma go back to the bus later on. After the show, of course. I gotta finish this,” she added while looking at the 31-year-old star. “Then we’re gonna go back to the bus. Is that all right? Make sure you roll one up for me.”
