Kodak Black Shares Anti-Drug Message With Florida Youth Football Team

He also gifted one of the young players a flashy chain and a skull-and-rose bandana.

Kodak Black recently shared a memorable message with a youth football team in Florida about why they should avoid using drugs.

“Say no to drugs. They too good, y’all gon’ like ‘em and go crazy,” the “Tunnel Vision” rapper said. “You have to go to school to play football; you’ve got to have your education. That’s how you learn about teamwork and brotherhood. Team means ‘together everyone achieves more.’ Ain’t no one bigger than the team.”

He also gifted one of the young players a flashy chain and a skull-and-rose bandana.

Kodak has been taking his sobriety journey seriously. As previously reported by BET last month, the 27-year-old announced that he would no longer perform his chart-topping hit “Super Gremlin” due to his sobriety, as it included a line he regrets about Percocets.

“I’m about to stop performing ‘Super Gremlin,’ period. I hate that lil’ s**t,” Kodak said during an Instagram Live session. “I’m sober — for the most part… Like Batman, I couldn’t have waited ’til, like, Saturday [to take drugs]. Now, I can wait a few days.” He continued, “It was like a n**ga was scared to be sober or something… Now, I can do that. I can go two days without nothing, homie… That’s motivation for n**gas to feel like if the Gremlin can do it, y’all can do it.”

In 2022’s “Super Gremlin,” Kodak rapped, “I knew the Perc’ was fake, but I still ate it ‘cause I’m a gremlin.”
