Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown’s ‘Honk For Jesus’ Trailer Is Here!
It’s time to honk the horn on them as Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown’s new film Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul has dropped its trailer.
Monkeypaw’s Jordan Peele executive produced the mockumentary which debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It’s a satirical comedy that will have you laughing at the edge of your seats.
The film follows Pastor Lee-Curtis Childs (Brown) who tries to revitalize his church after the scandal forced the congregation to temporarily close. Meanwhile, his wife, Trinitie Childs (Hall), is willing to do anything to reclaim her throne as the church’s first lady. Together the couple set out to rebuild their congregation and make the biggest comeback that commodified religion has ever seen.
Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul is also produced by Daniel Kaluuya through his production company 59% with Amanda Crichlow alongside Adamma Ebo, who also directed the film. Pinky Promise’s Jessamine Burgum and Matthew Cooper with Rowan Riley, Kara Durrett, Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown are also listed as producers on the film
The film debuts exclusively on Peacock and in theaters on September 2nd.
