Fans Tour Michael Jackson's Vegas Home
Even though it’s been two years, many of us are still in shock about the loss of our beloved Michael Jackson. Today hundreds of his hit songs will play on countless radio stations around the world and millions of mourners will moonwalk and throw up white gloves just to be close to him again. Some fortunate fans will even walk in his footsteps.
TMZ.com reports that today the doors of his Las Vegas home are going to be open so that fans can have a look inside. The opening commemorates the anniversary of his death. A representative for the home says, "The Estate will be opened to the public, for the first time, for only four hours for those who wish to pay their respects and to mourn his loss on this, the Second Anniversary of [MJ's] passing, June 25, 2011."
The representative explains, "We will strive to give you a glimpse into his private life and home; to allow you to walk where he walked, to see what he saw, to breathe the same air that he breathed and…to be inspired.” Reports also say, "strict security measures" will be in effect and water will be provided because it can get pretty hot in the desert. A representative adds, "Your messages of love, prayers, gifts and flowers will be lovingly preserved in situs until Sunday."
