Comedian Mike Epps has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. In February, Epps was in hot water after allegedly punching a fan in the face. Now, he is in trouble once again after being accused of what some are calling animal abuse.

Epps was performing onstage in Detroit Friday night when a man named Javon Stacks, who claims to run a traveling exotic zoo, came out with a leashed kangaroo. Epps encouraged the man to keep the kangaroo on stage and had the animal pose for a photo. While the animal seemed to want nothing to do with the bright lights and loud noises, Epps and the handler forced it to stay on, angering fans in the audience and those who have seen footage from the show online.

Many in the audience were outraged, saying, "They're trash for doing this," and adding that the incident was "violent" and "animal abuse." While Stacks claims to have the necessary licenses to handle the animals in his zoo, according to TMZ, it is illegal to handle a kangaroo in Detroit. Animal control representatives told the site that since the traveling zoo is not based out of Detroit, the legality of the matter would be up to state and federal authorities.

While Stacks also claimed the harness he was using was safe and painless for the animal, it certainly seemed the 'roo was being kept on stage against his will.

There's been no mention of Stacks or Epps facing any kind of charges for the incident at this time, but Epps has definitely been found guilty by the court of public opinion. TMZ reached out to the comedian but has thus far heard nothing back.
