Kanye West Takes Shots at Sway, Charlamagne Tha God
West launched into what he called a "brief intermission" during his "Touch the Sky" performance. As the crowd got more excited for the track he yelled "Stop that s---!" to speak on the hard work he put into music, particularly his College Dropout debut, which commemorated its 10th anniversary earlier this week.
The rightful bragging took a turn when Yeezy brought up being spoofed by Jimmy Kimmel, critics in general, and New York radio hosts Sway Calloway and Charlmagne the God. (West finds no humor in people, "trying to make a joke out of what we do," he said.)
"Shut the f--- up!" 'Ye yelled. "What the f--- you do?" he asked no one in particular, before switching up his tone. "Let me say it in a very nice calm way so you know I'm not upset," he said. "What the f--- did you do? Everybody who been writin' all that s--- to f---n' diss me and talk s---, what the f--- did you do? What have you done with the past 10 years of your f---' life, Charlamagne, Sway?"
The name checks are in reference to a rough media day for West. Back in November, he stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club morning show and clashed with Charlamagne, then headed to Calloway's Sway in the Morning show and got into a screaming match with the show host. Since Calloway and West are longtime friends the short beef was settled on air, yet the Chicago native doesn't sound like he's ready to forgive.
Yeezus ended last night's spout by screaming again, "Shut the f--- up!" but with love, "like Michael Jackson would," said West.
