G Herbo Reportedly Charged With Battery After Alleged Brutal Attack On The Mother Of His Child

Prosecutors claim he dragged Ariana Fletcher, who is reportedly pregnant, by her hair and left visible wounds on her.

Rapper G Herbo has reportedly been charged with battery and could be facing jail time following an altercation between him and the mother of his son, Ariana Fletcher.
Last month, the 23-year-old Chicago rapper, real name Herbert Wright III, was arrested in Atlanta after cops said he assaulted Fletcher during an argument. In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say Herbo dragged Fletcher by her hair while also causing bodily harm. As a result, Ariana's arms and legs were said to have been left with scratches and bruises following the altercation. Herbo has now been charged one count of misdemeanor battery, an faces up to one year in jail, TMZ reports.

  • Not long after news of the rapper's arrest went viral, Fletcher took to Instagram to disclose details of the fight and explain her side of the story:

  • While it's not clear what started the altercation between the ex-couple, Herbo did take to his Instagram Live moments after being bailed out of jail, to accuse Fletcher of taking his jewelry upon their breakup, and inviting him to her location in Atlanta to retrieve it.

  • “You stole it out of my momma’s room," he said. "I’ve been quiet all this time. I ain’t do no insurance claim or try to get you locked up. Nothing. You told me to come to Atlanta to get the jewelry back." Coincidentally, the night before the alleged assault, Fletcher and her new boyfriend, boxer Gervonta Davis, were spotted hosting a party at the same Atlanta nightclub (Club Allure) Herbo also was attending. Herbo was reportedly there celebrating fellow Chi-town artist Chance the Rapper's birthday.
