Janet Jackson Responds To Rumors She Might Drop A Surprise Performance On The Super Bowl
If you're wondering whether Janet Jackson will make an appearance on stage during the Super Bowl halftime, she's got an answer for you.
Rumors have been swirling that Justin Timberlake would be bringing out the legendary singer during his halftime set in an attempt to make amends for their infamous 2004 SB performance that produced the infamous "wardrobe malfunction."
Apparently, Janet wasn't with it.
“To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow; I will not," she wrote in a meme pic on IG. "Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.”
JT himself was asked last week during a Super Bowl press conference whether or not there would be a reunion on-stage and/or his former band *NSYNC.
"To be honest, I had a ton of grand ideas about special guests," he said, according to Billboard. "We talked about it a lot. There’s a whole list—I think Vegas has a lot of odds on it, I heard. From *NSYNC to Jay [Z] to Chris Stapleton to Janet, but this year I’m just excited—my band, the Tennessee Kids, I feel like they’re my special guests and I’m excited this year to rock the stage. It’s gonna be a lot of fun."
Oh well. We love you Janet and wish you were the one performing solo.
