Diddy Announces ‘Making the Band’ Live Audition Cancellations, Auditions To Be Submitted On Social Media

All hope isn’t lost after all!

As large swathes of the U.S. continues to be impacted by the spread of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as the coronavirus), Diddy has been forced to cancel the remaining live auditions for the Making the Band revival.

  • Two final open casting calls were scheduled to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 13 and 14, and in New York on March 21 and 22, but they will no longer be happening. This update emerges after organizers previously announced that DaBaby was tapped to help judge auditions on his NC home turf.

Taking to his Instagram Stories Thursday morning (March 12), Puff announced that “we want to make sure everyone is safe during these times, so we had to make the decision to cancel the in person casting events.”

Diddy’s announcement also comes after several large-scale events and music concerts have been cancelled or postponed, including South by Southwest (SXSW), Coachella, and Ultra Music Festival, due to concerns over the coronavirus. Earlier this week, the NBA announced that it is suspending games for the remainder of the season “until further notice.”
