ACLU Calls Out Chicago Police in Lawsuit - In a lawsuit against the Chicago police department filed by the ACLU last week, the organization claims that the level of police presence in majority African-American and Hispanic communities is disproportionately low given the number of  911 calls made from those neighborhoods, resulting in slower response to emergencies than that of predominantly white neighborhoods. In the wake of the lawsuit, Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel pledged to ensure that more police are available in high-crime neighborhoods.(Photo: Scott Olson/Getty Images)
