Study: Not Enough Black Stroke Victims Call 911 - A new study reveals that African-Americans are less likely call 911 when faced with stroke symptoms. In the survey, funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, researchers found that almost half of respondents delayed seeking medical attention because they didn’t think the signs were serious and about 75 percent of respondents called a friend or family member before dialing 911.(Photo: REUTERS/Christinne Muschi /Landov)
