Scottie Pippen, Bow Wow, And More Join Viral #GirlDad Movement Inspired By Kobe Bryant’s Pride In His Daughters

Kobe Bryant considered himself a "girl dad."

Kobe Bryant’s love for being a dad has been forever immortalized thanks to the countless photos he posted on Instagram showing his unbreakable bonding with his daughters.

From adorable selfies at a game to fabulous family portraits, the father of four beautiful daughters—Gianna, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri—was honored to be a family man.

According to ESPN anchor Elle Duncan during a heartfelt SportsCenter segment on Monday night, he was even more proud to be a “girl dad.”

“Just be grateful that you’ve been given that gift because girls are amazing,” Duncan recalled Bryant saying to her after learning she was pregnant with her daughter.

When Duncan questioned the late NBA star about how he and his wife, Vanessa Bryant would feel about having a fourth girl, without hesitation he responded, “I would have five more girls if I could. I’m a girl dad.”

Without delay, the #GirlDad hashtag went viral with over 100K+ fathers posting touching tributes to their Daddy’s girls in memory of Kobe—who tragically lost his life on Sunday in a helicopter crash, alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
