Can't Sit With Us: NO Invite For The Obamas To The Royal Wedding. Here's Why
As the guest list for the the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on May 19, is being finalized, People is speculating that one couple wonât be setting foot at the Windsor Castle for the fairytale engagement.
Our favorite couple, former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.
Nope, our forever first family will not be in attendance, but itâs not as shady as you may think. Turns out, Prince Harry and and his soon-to-be bride agreed on not inviting any world leaders or dignitaries--nope, no invite for Trump.
âIt has been decided that an official list of political leaders â both U.K. and international â is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markleâs wedding. Her Majestyâs Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household,â a Kensington Palace spokesman shared on Tuesday.
Nope, thereâs definitely no beef between the well-known couples. In fact, a royal source said: âBoth the couples look forward to seeing each other soon.â
So who will be in attendance at the royal affair? Itâs planned to be a humble wedding with about 600 guests expected, unlike his older brother, who had 1,900 guests at his wedding back in 2011.
Some attendees will include close family friends, a lucky 1,200 members of the U.K public who have been invited to the grounds of Windsor Castle to get a glimpse of the wedding, and 200 guests from charities linked to the royal couple, and 100 children from two local schools.
TBH: Although we didnât get an invite, we'd love to see just how grand a royal wedding can be.
