NSU Student Bit by Police Dog While Police Held Her Down - London Colvin, a student at Norfolk State University, says she was attacked by a police dog while being held down by Norfolk police, WAVY reports. She was left with a large gash in her leg and charged with disorderly conduct and arrest. HU Middle School Principal Fires Teachers for Teaching Black History - Parents and students of the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science are upset because the principal fired three social studies teachers for teaching Black history. The teachers handed in their two weeks' notice last week, but the principal handed them pink slips in front of the students Tuesday, according to WLJA.“We are on the campus of an HBCU.
