Jerry Rice - Wide receiver Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers, pulled in an amazing catch on the tips of his fingers during his team’s match with the Cincinnati Bengals in Superbowl 23 in 1989. That catch, along with 10 more receptions for a record 215 yards earned him MVP honors.

Leon Lett - Cowboy fans are probably still cringing over this one. During Super Bowl 27 in 1993, defensive tackle Leon Lett recovered a fumble by the Buffalo Bills but started celebrating before he could cross the goal line. As a result, a Bills player was able to strip him of the ball and earned his squad a touchback. But it didn’t matter too much at the end of the day. The Cowboys ended up beating the Bills 52-17.
