Lamar Odom - Lamar Odom has had a rough year; he made headlines for rumored crack-cocaine use, marital issues and more. The NBA free agent was arrested for driving under the influence on Aug. 30. Then the former Sixth Man of the Year dodged a bullet in November because he wasn’t charged for roughing up a paparazzo in Los Angeles in August. Josh Brent - Former Dallas Cowboys star Josh Brent’s life changed forever on Jan. 7. He was exceeding the speed limit in Irving, Texas, when his car, which had teammate Jerry Brown Jr. in the passenger seat, hit a curb. Brown was killed and Brent was arrested for intoxicated manslaughter. Brent retired from the NFL in June. J.R. Smith - New York Knicks star J.R. Smith was smoking pot and got caught. He kicked off the 2013-2014 season with a five-game suspension without pay for violating the NBA’s drug policy. Smith was still rehabbing his knee and used the suspension to work on his game. Chamique Holdsclaw - Olympic gold medalist and former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw went HAM on her ex- girlfriend and former Atlanta Dream teammate Jennifer Lacy's car. Holdsclaw was arrested for assault in March after she used a bat to smash the car windows before taking a gun out and firing a shot into the Range Rover. Terrence Williams - A domestic dispute got ugly for Boston Celtics guard Terrence Williams in May when he was arrested in Kent, Washington, for allegedly threatening the mother of his son with a gun. Jay Ratcliff - After his truck struck an 18-wheeler in Grapevine, Texas, in January, Dallas Cowboys tackle Jay Ratcliff was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Although no one was injured, the police determined Ratliff was intoxicated although he declined a toxicology test. Ausar Walcott - Cleveland Browns rookie Ausar Walcott was arrested and charged with attempted murder in June for allegedly punching a man in the face outside of a New Jersey nightclub. Aaron Hernandez - Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged with the first-degree murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in Massachusetts in June. He was also arrested on charges for leading an interstate gun trafficking ring unrelated to Lloyd’s death. Jason Kidd, Again - Jason Kidd just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Fresh off suspension, the NBA veteran found himself in hot water again when the NBA fined Kidd $50,000 in November for intentionally bumping into Tyshawn Taylor, causing him to intentionally spill his drink on the court, as an unusual stall tactic. Dennis Schroder - Apparently Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder plays dirty. He was suspended in November for one game without pay for striking Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins in the groin, the NBA announced. Referees were not aware of Schroder's actions at the time, but after Cousins complained, officials reviewed the tape and Schroder’s below–the-belt blow was brought to light.(Photo: Kevin C. Desmond Bryant - Most people can admit to being inebriated, but Desmond Bryant got drunk and tried to break into a neighbor’s house in Miami in February. The defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns was arrested and charged with criminal mischief when cops came knocking on his door after his neighbors said he terrified them at 5:30 a.m by trying to to break into their home. The former Detroit Lions wide receiver was first arrested on May 5 for suspicion of drunk driving and his car was impounded. Then a second arrest came later that day when he was caught trying to steal his car from the impound lot.
