Sports Buzz: Jonathan Dwyer Won't Return Unless Exonerated

Plus, Mike Vick says Goodell should remain NFL commissioner.

Cardinals Coach: Dwyer Won't Return Unless Cleared - As far as Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians goes, running back Jonathan Dwyer will not return to the team unless he’s exonerated from aggravated assault charges involving his wife and 18-month-old son. "We'll allow the court systems to take care of what is true and what isn't true," Arians told ESPN. "As far as up until then, until he's exonerated, he will not be a member of this football team. If and when he is exonerated, I will gladly take him back." Dwyer signed a one-year, $795,000 free-agent contract with Arizona back in March. (Photo: Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Michael Vick Says Goodell Should Remain NFL Commissioner - Michael Vick knows what it’s like to be disciplined by Roger Goodell. The latter was the NFL commissioner when Vick missed the 2007 and 2008 seasons while serving a prison sentence for his involvement in an illegal drug ring. Goodell also reinstated Vick. So what kind of job does the New York Jets backup quarterback think Goodell is doing as far as handling a rash of domestic violence incidents and even a child abuse allegation? “A great job,” Vick told ESPN of Goodell. "You have to give the man a chance, you have to him a chance, you have to give everybody a chance to get it right.”(Photos from Left: Theodore Parisienne/Splash News, Evan Habeeb/Getty Images)

Barry Bonds Tries to Erase Conviction - On Thursday, several members of the U.S. appeals court expressed criticism about Barry Bonds’s guilty verdict following his 2011 trial, according to the Associated Press. That skepticism can lead to an overturning of his obstruction of justice conviction with a new decision possibly arriving next year. Circuit Judge Susan P. Graber claimed a lack of “sufficient evidence” in prosecutors’ arguments that Bonds intended to mislead the grand jury. (Photo: Christian Petersen/Getty Images)

Report: Knicks, Lakers Interested in Ricky Rubio? - Can the Los Angeles Lakers or New York Knicks come in and snag Ricky Rubio next summer? One report seems to think so. If the Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t able to work out an extension deal with Rubio, then the point guard will become a restricted free agent at the end of the 2014-15 season. That would create an opening for the Knicks or Lakers to come in and try to sign Rubio.  (Photo: FREDERIC J. BROWN/AFP/Getty Images)

"We're going to look at the situation the same way we did with Kevin [Love]," Newton said. "We're going to do the best thing for the organization."AFP PHOTO/Frederic J. BROWN (Photo: Frederic J.
