Making Up Is Hard to Do - After the beef comes the reconciliation – it’s just the circle of life in hip-hop, and at times it’s almost as entertaining as the beef itself. Over the years, the rap beefs have added up and so have the peace treaties. Some of them last all but a minute, others are momentous occasions that we still look back at fondly. After a seminal rap beef claimed the lives of two of the greatest hip-hop artists in history, a rap reconciliation is in the heart of every rap fan who gets amped up over beef between two MCs. Just yesterday (August 9) 50 Cent and Cam'ron squashed their long-time beef by getting together and having a couple of laughs. Let’s look back at more of the best squashed beefs. – Jon Reyes(Photo: 50 cent via Instagram)

Tru Life & Prodigy - Just recently, Tru Life and Prodigy just squashed a beef that culminated with Mobb Deep being attacked at a recording studio. The whole beef stemmed over a verse featured on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack. Now it's finally over. That’s a reconciliation a long time in the making.(Photo from left: Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images, Robin Marchant/Getty Images)

Shyne & Puff Daddy - At the top of 2012, Shyne and Sean Combs put their longstanding beef to rest over the phone. They went as far as meeting in Paris during Fashion Week that year. But as fast as that happened, Shyne went back to badmouthing the rapper/mogul later that same year and added a new beef into the mix – with Rick Ross. We came full circle when Shyne showed up via big screen for the Bad Boy Family Reunion. Salute.(Photo: Splash News)

Jay Z & Nas - In 2005, these two squashed it all – and “all” was a lot for this pair of rappers, especially since their specific beef resulted in two of the best tracks in hip-hop diss history: "Ether" and "The Takeover." When they came together on stage for Power 105’s Power House concert titled “I Declare War,” it was a hip-hop moment many never saw coming. Add to that Nas joining Def Jam when Jay was president, and these two businessmen made it clear that the beef was definitely done.(Photo: Scott Gries/Getty Images for Universal Music)

The Game & 50 Cent - This particular pair attempted to squash their beef the moment it started in 2005 and it didn’t really stick. In August 2016 the two seemed to have reconciled at an L.A. strip club – ah, the power of strippers to bring people together.(Photo: Peter Kramer/Getty Images)

DMX & Drake - The beef here seemed to be one-sided when DMX disapproved of Drake’s idea of releasing an Aaliyah tribute album. It all died down though when Drake called DMX to sample DMX’s “What These B***hes Want” and “How’s It Goin’ Down” on Views. Sampling definitely unifies.(Photos from left: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Bacardi, Bob Levey/Getty Images)

50 Cent & Ja Rule - How this all started was conflicted between Ja Rule and 50 Cent's respective stories. According to 50 Cent, it was supposedly started when Ja Rule was robbed by a 50 Cent associate. Ja Rule says it was over a video shoot in Queens – um, OK. Either way, back in 2013 Ja Rule squashed the beef on Twitter and even came together with Irv Gotti to talk about how 50 Cent pretty much won that battle. It’s not technically a reconciliation – but when you can laugh, that's basically the end of the beef.(Photos from left: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images, Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images)

Ice Cube & Common - This beef was squashed almost 20 years ago during a peace summit with Minister Louis Farrakhan in 1997. It all kicked off when Common made a claim that hip-hop lost its way when the West Coast got a hold of it. The pair look back at it today and laugh. Reconciliation and laughter? That’s a good one.(Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Kanye West & Wiz Khalifa - This beef started on Twitter over a name Kanye didn’t even end up calling his 2016 album, later titled The Life of Pablo. They spoke over the phone and deaded it. Not that this beef was going to get all that dangerous anyway – at least there’s no ill will anymore.(Photos from left: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for AOL, Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for Yeezy Season 3)

Jay Z & Fat Joe - This was another residual beef from the Jay vs. Nas battle. Fat Joe repped Nas pretty hard. So hard that when Jay’s beef with Nas ended, Fat Joe was left to keep it going. But that all came to an end when the release of “All the Way Up (Remix)” featured a verse from Jay Z and amped up NYC hip-hop in the process.(Photos from left: Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Live Nation, Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images)

T.I. & 50 Cent - Back in 2011, 50 Cent opined on T.I.'s legal woes at the time, which involved the notorious drug charges that resulted in his prison bid. There was Twitter beef and that was squashed thanks to mutual friends.(Photo: M. Phillips/WireImage for BET Network)

Wale & Kid Cudi - A 2010 freestyle verse by Wale referenced an altercation Kid Cudi had with a fan. Months later the bad feelings would be dealt with thanks to a Twitter @ reply.(Photo: Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic)

Pusha T & Consequence - When Consequence made claims in 2011 that Pusha T had stolen his flow, things were contentious between the two until they joined forces to collaborate on Kanye’s The Life of Pablo.(Photos from left: Scott Wintrow/Getty Images, Mike Lawrie/Getty Images)

Meek Mill & Wale - These two label mates went at it on Twitter in 2014 and immediately were brought back together when Rick Ross squashed it: “As soon as the tweets went out, I spoke to both of them on the phone. Those two guys, they’re brothers.” When Wale criticized Meek over how he accused the Canadian rapper, Drake, over using ghostwriters in 2015, the beef ensued again. Since then the pair seem to have a working relationship and Wale says they are on good terms.(Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images for Tidal/Roc Nation)
