Crash the Whip: Rap's Biggest Car Name-Drops - Rock music may have classics like "Little Red Corvette" and "Mustang Sally," but there's no doubt that hip hop is the automobile industry's number-one source for free advertising. Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music have Lamborghini's ultra-high-end Murciélago model on everyone's lips with their now platinum-selling hit "Mercy," and the Italian carmaker was happy for the shout-out. "We appreciate the publicity," a spokesman for the company told Complex recently. "This is another example of the use of a Lamborghini in various art forms. Communicating success, individuality and creativity are hallmarks of the brand." And lucky for Lambo and other automakers, they have rap music to communicate those things for them. Bugatti Boyz - Waka and Gucci aren't the only car-obsessed "boyz" on the block. Maybach Music Group - Damn, Rozay — whatever happened to brand loyalty? In 2009, before he shouted out Bugatti and Aston Martin, Ross founded Maybach Music Group, home to Meek Mill, Wale and more. But maybe he was just hedging his bets: Mercedes-Benz, who owns the luxury brand, announced last year that it was phasing out Maybachs for good by 2013.
