Hip Hop Reacts After NYPD Officers Gunned Down - New York was in an uproar this weekend and tensions are still mounting after Ismaaiyl Abdulah Brinsley shot and injured his girlfriend Saturday at an apartment complex in Baltimore County before traveling to New York City and shooting and killing two police officers, then killing himself.With the media, police and politicians vying for political gain and putting their spin on the heinous crimes, all while blaming protesters for initially marching against police violence, several from the hip hop community have weighed in calling for the violence to cease and also holding the police accountable for their roles.
