Juice, Juice, Juice! - Like most Americans, I do not get my daily six to nine servings of fruits and veggies everyday, but one way to change that is by juicing on a daily basis. My favorite recipe is a combo of kale, apple, carrots and beets. Even better: Not all juicers are expensive either. There are juicers to fit in everyone’s budget.(Photo: Detroit Free Press/MCT/LANDOV)

Juice Up - We don’t get enough fruits and vegetables, but now that spring is here, so many are in season. Juicing is a great way to up your intake, lose weight and eat healthier. Check out a few yummy juice recipes here. (Photo: GettyImages)

Hydrate, Hydrate - It’s important to make sure you drink a lot of H20 on your period. It sounds odd, but water keeps your body from retaining water and helps to avoid painful bloating during menstruation. Warm or hot water or tea is better for cramps as hot liquids increase blood flow and relax muscles. (Photo: Brian Hagiwara/Getty Images)

Drink More Water - Ditch soda for a week and try drinking more water to stay well hydrated and help aid the digestive process. Plus, whether you want shinier hair, younger and healthier skin, more energy—or all three!—drink up! (Photo: GettyImages)

Drink More Green Tea - It is extraordinarily amazing what green tea can do for your health, including upping your metabolism, improving digestion and slowing the aging process. If you're not drinking 3 to 4 cups of green tea today, you're not doing your body a big favor. (Photo: Margarita Komine/GettyImages)

Tossing Out Expired Food - In the winter, we tend to hibernate, stocking up on food. Now is the time to toss out anything that's expired to make room for your new and healthier diet. You might also find some healthy stuff packed away in the back of your pantry. (Photo: Jerod Harris/Getty Images)

Read Food Labels - Know what you are putting in your body. So do yourself a favor and try being better at reading food labels, watching specifically for sugars, sodium and fats. If you can start paying more attention to what you eat, you can start making real changes. (Photo: Blend Images - JGI/Tom Grill)
